Why do you use affiliate links at all?
Testing software takes real time and money. Commissions let us keep BettrList free to read, without paywalls or banner ads getting in the way.
How can I tell which links are affiliate links?
Assume any link that leads to a tool's own website might be one. That includes “Visit site” buttons, pricing links, and mentions inside reviews. If you'd rather we not earn from your purchase, just type the company's address into your browser yourself.
Do you earn anything if I don't buy?
In most cases we only earn when someone signs up, starts a paid plan, or buys. Clicking alone pays us nothing.
Do tools without an affiliate program get lower scores?
No. Every tool is scored on the same things: features, ease of use, value for money, support, and compliance. Whether it pays us isn't one of them.
Is anything on the site paid for?
Guest posts are. They're clearly marked “Sponsored” and kept separate from our reviews and scores.
