Core Plugin
Free
The WooCommerce plugin itself, free forever with no revenue share. You'll still need your own hosting and domain to launch.
- Unlimited products, orders, and customers
- Core catalog, cart, checkout, and coupon tools
- Open-source, so you can edit and host it however you want
Typical Small Store
Popular$40/mo
Not an official plan, WooCommerce doesn't sell tiers. This is a realistic monthly budget many small stores land on for basic hosting, a domain, and one or two extensions.
- Shared or entry-level managed WordPress hosting
- A handful of paid extensions for shipping, tax, or marketing
- Standard card processing fees through your chosen payment gateway
Growing Store
$200/mo
Not an official plan. What many growing stores spend on managed WordPress hosting built for traffic, plus several premium extensions like subscriptions or advanced shipping.
- Managed WordPress hosting built to handle higher traffic
- Several premium extensions for subscriptions, bookings, or advanced tax
- Room to negotiate lower payment processing rates as volume grows
Features
- Free core plugin with no monthly platform fee and no cut of your revenue, ever
- Unlimited products, orders, and API calls, with no artificial caps tied to a pricing tier
- Thousands of extensions and themes covering subscriptions, bookings, memberships, and more
- Works with any payment gateway or buy-now-pay-later provider, including WooPayments, Stripe, and PayPal
- Full ownership of your store's code, data, and customizations since you host it yourself
- Mobile app for managing orders and products, plus in-person payments with Tap to Pay
- Backed by the large WordPress community, with forums, tutorials, and freelance developers available
